ACHZEIT : Vortex of the Star Gate 1986 Originally a proposed track for another project being produced by Simon Doughty, called The Ghost Shirt Society, Vortex was recorded with "Vek" Kevin Beer invited to contribute. But the combination of Si & Vek led to another inevitable classic that simply further defines the Achzeit legend and identity. 4 track cassette system was used, thus: Si Doughty - Lead vocal, backing vocal, bass guitar, triangle, other percussion; Kev Beer - backing vocal, synths; Dr Fivefive - electronic drum thing. The end result is a spooky, cosmic thriller. "I thought I would die..."
