GHOSTIGITAL NEW SINGLE HOVERING HOOVER SKATES release with VIDEO
FROM THE WEIRD GIRLS PROJECT: EPISODE 5

The new single Hovering Hoover Skates is from the upcoming new EP
due for release in November. It is available as a digital download
on www.grapewire.net

Kitty Von-Sometime, who heads the project, developed the concept
for the accompanying video and brought in Icelandic clothing
designer Kolbrún Gunnarsdóttir of KVK to make the costumes and
Icelandic director Þórgnýr Thoroddsen to produce the video. He has
won previous awards for his work and
brought in editor Atli Þorsteinsson to assist in the making of the
video. The footage uses stereogaphy which involves using two
cameras at slightly different angles in order to give a third
dimension.

The video was filmed as Episode 5 of The Weird Girls Project which
took place in July this year. Every Episode has a different
concept which Kitty develops and produces over a period of 3
months. The other girls taking part are unaware of the location,
the costumes, what they will have to do and no choreography is
practiced. For this episode in order to avoid broken bones, the
girls were given skates in advance but due to difficulty sourcing
them, this wasn't until close to the date. The project's concept is
based around the way the girls morph when put in costumes which
were unknown until the day, the performance during the episode and
in encouraging an overall confidence in the young women involved.

Ghostigitals next full album release will be on October 11th when
the release the album Aero where they join forces with Finnbogi
Pétursson and Skúli Sverrisson. Aero is music made for aeroplanes.
They are humble philosophers travelling on a supersonic jet,
meditating away. And adding a new dimension to the airtravel. The
music paints a kind of a 3D sculpture, and its constant movement
makes it come alive. The perspective is always changing and what
does repeat itself makes a delightful hearing because the phrases
and motives are so enchanting.
