I remember sittin in your lap,
you would hum in my ear.
I still feel your arms around me,
they were warm and erased all my fears.

I was your little baby girl,
you said I took your breath away.
And the love you gave so completely,
I carry in my heart today.
Now I wish that I could tell you,
all the things you said were true.

I want to thank you for your love,
and little things you used to do.
I know God took you for a reason.
And I'm sure heaven welcomed you,
I still want to say I love you but I can't,

I hope you knew....

My teenage years took their toll,
but you loved me anyway.
I guess I took it all for granted,
that Mom's were supposed to be that way.

Now I'm finally all grown up,
with two children of my own.
And so many things I would have asked you,
if only I had known..

Now I wish that I could tell you,
all the things you said were true.
And I want to thank you for your loven,
and the little things you used to do.

I know God took you for a reason,
and I'm sure Heaven welcomed you.
