Hailed as one of the pioneers of electronic dub, G.Corp put together a top selection of dub sessions from the Elephant House studios (otherwise known as G. Corp HQ.) for the first in the dubplates series. For the consumer the result is 12 joints for the horizontal, dub electronica with tunes. For sure the godfathers of the delayed echo are revered on this record, Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry, Big Youth and others. But there is a lot more than strictly rockers being wired into here. As well as sweet reggae, there's the energy of drum n bass, the rawness of hip-hop, the simplicity of sheer soul and the post-house knowledge of what makes a dancefloor really rock...balm for the body and spirit, uplifting mental enhancement, music for lonely Martians, Mr. Perry's vampires and worst dressed chickens.
