Gavin Osborn - It Took Me Ages (Addistock Sessions) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 28, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Another act from the Grace Petrie tour I filmed in June. Gavin Osborn is a Bedford-born, Bath-based singer/songwriter, and a prime example of the use of music being used to tell stories.

In the same spirit as Loudon Wainwright III, Bob Dylan, Gaz Brookfield and Neil Morris, Gavin crafts genuinely funny, thoughtful songs based past experiences, nostalgia and the clichés of television. It can be very hard to write relatable songs that have humour without seeming stifled or forced. Mr Osborn does it effortlessly, and I for one am looking forward to seeing him play live again soon.

Here is Gavin’s original. It took me ages.
