This next installment on Soulfooled is delivered by Swiss artist Garance. Born in Geneva, Garance has been submerged in the world of elec- tronic music since the ‘90s and now this highly talented and versatile producer makes her debut on Soulfooled with this remarkable four track EP. Heavily inspired by the sounds from legendary labels such as Cocoon and Moon Harbour, her productions hold a combination of intergalactic sounding synths fused with powerful distorted percussion.

‘Loro Cabeciazul’ stays true to exactly that, with the track steadily and dramatically building whilst the thunderous synthesized snare drum echoes through the ears of the listener. The second track from the EP titled ‘Run Kala Run’ truly displays Garance’s versatility as a producer. This recording offers a slower more atmospheric sound, with an almost haunting vocal sample layered over the top, bridging the gap between deep house and techno.

‘Wild Manekineko’ perfectly captivates and integrates the sounds that Garance is so ac- customed to. A classic tech-house production superbly balancing an underlying synth melody with a powerful percussive beat.

The EP also features a remix of ‘Loro Cabeciazul’ by German producer Patlac.
