Frost Biography

The battle lines have been drawn the soldiers are ready and the general of Bakersfield, CA Frost has declared war on the current state of Hip Hop.



Born and raised in the streets of Bakersfield, CA Frost spent most of his life in and out of foster homes, group homes, juvenile camps the youth authority, and finally prison. Frost seemed to constantly be in and out of trouble and couldn’t get a break in life, instead of being discouraged by these unfortunate events Frost began to put all of the frustrations he was feeling onto paper and at the age of 16 began writing rhymes. These rhymes were an immediate release for Frost who immediately developed an undying passion for music and would begin to craft music that he felt truly represented where he came from. In between prison terms JB of Desert Heat invited Frost to the recording studio for the first time. Being in the studio and hearing his own true to life stories out of the speakers re affirmed Frost’s passion for music and he immediately began jumping on every track he came across. While he was slowly building his name up as a local artist Frost was still had business in the streets and was sent back to prison where he stayed until 2002.



Immediately upon his release, Frost committed to developing his name as a Hip Hop artist in Bakersfield and jumped right back into the studio. Studying artists who came before him and who shared similar from nothing to something stories Frost crafted together a brand for himself and a style that through a combination of networking and the world is mine attitude spread his name through the streets of Bakersfield. While it’s not known as a hot bed for entertainment Bakersfield is slowly but surely proving that it can and will be known as more then just that large city you hit right before you cross into Los Angeles.



Frost has built his brand up as a artist and while he is still battling for the recognition he feels he deserves his accomplishments read like that of a artist who has major label backing. Passing up on distributors and middlemen Frost has been able to place his projects in Best Buy’s all over California as well as move a impressive number of units throughout independent music stores in Southern California. Frost also was able to create his own branding campaign and has appeared in a number of independent music magazines. Recognizing his talent and story of building something from nothing Bakersfield’s local news channel 29 featured Frost in his own segment where he discussed being a local Bakersfield artist and his strategies for success. Now with years of hard work and consistent marketing under his belt Frost has established himself not only as one of the hottest artists out of Bakersfield but also a mogul who has his hand on the pulse of the city. He has been responsible for producing a number of live shows that feature local artists as well as became known as the go to artist for Bakersfield when promoters want to bring down national acts and need a local artist to bring the crowds in.



The battle lines have been drawn and while Bakersfield was the first city to fall under the control of Frost, this Battle Field King is far from finished and has set his sights on the rest of the music industry.
