The Piper's Hut Concert Series brings national and international artists in traditional Celtic music to Champaign-Urbana. Bua, a four-piece band based in Chicago was one group featured this year. They were named "Top Traditional Group" at the 2009 Irish Music Awards, and they played for us live on the this edition of "Live and Local." Here is the song 'An Baitsiléir' composed by Seán Bán Mac Grianna.

Live and Local is heard weekdays from noon to 1 pm on WILL FM 90.9. Host Kevin Kelly keeps you informed about local music performances by performers both local and national. The program includes interviews with the artists, as well as educators, students, administrators and audience members. You will hear features on the many performing groups throughout our listening area, a daily calendar of music events, and (of course!) lots of music.
