What is G13?
The realest, non-traditional answer to this question would be:
"G13 is doing what you love to do."
but since that doesn't suffice for corporate conglomerates.here's the low down.
G13 is an independent production company based in the Midwest using a build it from the ground approach towards providing independent bands the correct means to manage themselves, in both digital and real world revenue production through music. Some people would try to stereotype us as a record label, but we don't like the stigma that comes with that. We simply provide services that bands need in order to obtain a proper presence, both live and in the digital domain. We're not looking to "sign" bands, and we're not looking to take a bunch of the money from fans you have worked so hard to acquire.
Welcome to G13.the underground movement, at it's finest. We live for the underground and we do everything in our power to keep it happening. Fuck main stream, your local (bullshit) radio station, and your overpriced designer gear, cause we don't want it or need it!
What can G13 do for our band or artist career?
G13 studios is comprised of 2 synergistic entities, an audio production suite as well as our in-house design/development studio. Some of our services include: studio recording, mixing, cd duplication/replication, cd artwork, web development and hosting, graphic art (flyers, posters, and more), merchandise design and production.
Although it's our goal to help every independent artist out there, we just simply do not have the man-power to complete such a feat. However, we have developed artist management software that we ourselves use on a daily basis. gSpun allows you to take your band or artist online presence to a completely new level. Organize your news/updates, merchandise, band members, show listings/schedules, music/media, fan mailing list, and so much more from one, simple, intuitive interface.
The first thing we did while creating gSpun was tear apart everything else currently out there. We looked at what worked, what didn't, what made sense, and what wasn't logical. Then we started all over from the ground up.
We like to think of our software of much more than just a place to upload your songs, and sell a t-shirt. We believe our software really is a necessary first step for any independent band that does not already have a solid web presence. In this day and age a web presence is of the utmost importance and although MySpace is great for networking, bands have begun to rely solely on myspace as their webspace taking away a lot of their freedom of individuality as well as cornering them to use digital sale services that are less than friendly to the pocketbook of our fellow independent artists!
gSpun finally gives you the ability to maintain your own .COM name, and finally be liberated into your own webspace with ALL, and by do we mean ALL the tools necessary to efficiently and successfully market yourself as a serious artist.
