The Firefly Fuzz from JHS Pedals takes inspiration from the British designed Tonebender MKIII Professional, a sound that helped shape the music of the 60’s and 70’s. JHS know that in order to get this famously warm and vocal like fuzz, you need to use the proper components of the era, so they’ve equipped the Firefly with 3 NOS AC128 Germanium transistors. These transistors are known to cleanup with your guitar’s volume knob and produce overdrive-like tones at lower gain settings. Along with a wide sweeping EQ control that matches the pedal to your pickups, the Firefly allows you to set the bias via a front panel control, a key component in determining the overall character and attack of this colorful fuzz. Unlike vintage units, the JHS Firefly has plenty of output and can go passed unity to give your amp a little boost and it can be powered by a standard 9V adapter without any worry of daisy chaining issues. JHS also pride themselves of designing, building and assembling the Firefly Fuzz along with their other pedals in Kansas City, USA.
