Thank you for checking this video out. This song is really special to me. It is the first single I ever had released through a major label. This is Houseofreedom performing the live version at the 23rd St. lab in New York City in 2006. The song came to me directly through Ron Fair, then president of A&M Records at the time, as part of my run on the singing competition TV show, Star Search with Arsenion Hall in 2004. Mr. Fair is truly the last of a dying breed, a record label executive who's a musician himself and signed the Black Eyed Peas, Vanessa Carlton, and Christina Aguilera, to name a few to his label
The song Cuddly Toy was originally released by the U.K. band Roachford and was written by Andrew Roachford, It was a big 80's hit in the U.K.and hit #25 in the states. For my re-working of it, we took a lot of the 80's big synths out and put some "Freedizzle" rock /soul swagger in it's place.
