Nicky Zimmer, the doyenne of minimal techno, is set to drop her lastest on October 15.

The release, Brazilian collaborator Tech Stans "Deeper Relax" is a dark but thoroughly enjoyable cut featuring bassy spoken word vocals that will intoxicate the listener. The originals minimal, austere mix is a worthy introduction to the funky, 4/4 histrionics of Southern Lights Alan Prosser. His remix gets into your head and enslaves your booty. A very nice groove that elevates to lunar heights perfectly complements the vocals.

Netherlands Johnstar turns up the heat with his tribal, deep tech romp. As part of esteemed Team Fedde Le Grand and also releasing on Toolroom Records, Johnstar knows his way around a rough and ready groove. Funky heads like myself will immerse themselves in this glorious mix; heavy on timbales, hip-bending vibes and annihilating rhythms. Wow!!

Rapid Fire Records honcho Larry Powers remix is stark and lovely. It begins slowly but builds via a sinister synth progression. I love the pacing of the track, Powers knows how to get the most dramatic effect from his productions without losing his dance focus. The vocals are pretty dirty too!!

Kusserow + Mike Väth (Svens brother) take their turn on remix duty with astonishing results. This full on techno driver is going to be a big room beast and peak time banger. The energy level just keeps growing and growing; it will be hard to get this groove out of your brain. Overall a tasty package!!
