DESCRIPTION:
In his 17 years of playing the guitar, improvisation and composition have always been present in François Pelletier's musical exploration. First interested by pop music, then classical music and jazz, he studied music at C.N.D.F., Université Laval, Université de Montréal and UQAM. During his studies, Pelletier developed classical and jazz solo playing techniques, and has been writing for solo acoustic guitar for the past seven years. He won first prize in the 2006 Prix d'expression classique and placed as a semi-finalist in the 2008 United Kingdom Songwriting Contest.
