Joining us this week is singer-songwriter Car, the Garden! This musician made his big debut in the music industry in 2013 under the stage name Mason, the Soul and has collaborated with a number of top musicians in Korea, including Beenzino, Loco, Palo Alto, Verbal Jint, Hyuk Oh among others ever since. Then in 2016, the artist changed his stage name to Car, the Garden, which is the literal translation of his name Cha Jeong-won. (Cha means "car" and Jeong-won means "garden" in Korean.) With that change, Car, the Garden also expanded his musical spectrum with chillwave and disco, showing off his endless potential.

On this episode of 1'm Live, Car, the Garden performs some of his greatest hits, such as "6 to 9," "Bushwick," "Little by Little," Gimme Love," and "Together." Be sure to tune in and let Car, the Garden melt your heart and soul!

아임라이브 9회의 주인공은 빈티지한 사운드와 몽환적인 음색이 인상적인 싱어송라이터 카더가든이다. 2013년 '메이슨 더 소울'이라는 이름으로 활동을 시작한 후 빈지노, 로꼬, 팔로알토, 버벌진트, 혁오 등 장르를 초월한 다양한 아티스트들과의 콜라보 작업을 통해 네임 벨류를 쌓은 그는 2016년 '카더가든'으로 이름을 바꾼 뒤 더욱 견고해진 자신만의 음악을 발표해 나갔다. 그리고 기존의 빈티지한 사운드에서 칠웨이브, 디스코로 한층 넓어진 장르적 가능성을 공개하며 끊임없는 진화 속에 있다는 평을 받고 있다.

아임라이브 금주의 에피소드
카더가든의 아임라이브 공연은 '메이슨 더 소울'로 발표한 '6 to 9', 오혁과 함께 불렀던 'Bushwick'부터 카더가든으로 변화한 뒤 발표한 노래 'Littel by Little', 'Gimme Love' 등 많은 분들에게 사랑받은 그의 음악들로 채워졌다. 알베르의 빈티지한 분위기와도 잘 어울리는 카더가든의 음악은 그 자체만으로도 현장의 무드를 한층 돋웠다는 후문이다.
