Tolgahan Çoğulu plays Flynn Cohen's 'Planxty Gilmore' in just intonation. This piece is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Bob Gilmore, Flynn Cohen's musicology professor from Dartington College in Devon. Bob Gilmore was Harry Partch's biographer. This melody was originally composed for Partch's Adapted Viola and uses a mode that can be found in his 43-tone scale in 11-limit Extended Just Intonation.
The piece was recorded at 3. Austrian Fretless Guitar & Just Intonation Festival on 19 September 2015.
