DESCRIPTION:
if youve ever done a headgasket job on a wrx or STI youve probably struggled with this. this is the only way i would ever remove the bolts. no broken allen keys or hex keys. no need to weld on a bigger nut and no need to heat or torch and def no need to break the pulley off.
tools needed: hanson bolt extractor set#54113 or specifically the 3/4" sized one if you can purchase separately
1"1/8 wrench
small hammer
1/2 to 3/8 impact reducer
1/2 impact gun. or breaker bar
simple instructions:
tap on bolt extractor flat. use wrench to hold cam shaft in place in appropriate place and simply zap off with air gun.
