PUBLISHED:  Feb 18, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
The first ever Souper Groove Music Festival was a 2-day, 2-night event hosted by Turtle Soup in Freehold, New Jersey on September 28-29, 2012.

Nearly 1,000 people turned out for this "Jersey Fresh" festival, featuring over 30 local, regional and nationally touring acts from NJ, PA, CT and NY on 3 different stages.

Headlining acts were Turtle Soup, Juggling Suns, Matt O'Ree Band, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why, and Karmic Juggernaut. The festival ended in one final "Souper Jam" that included more than 30 musicians from 10 different bands and an enormous percussion circle. The music was accompanied by a spectacular festival-wide LED light and projection show.

Also included in the fun was on-site camping, a dozen craft and food vendors, art installations and family friendly activities such as a hula hoop workshop, theme nights with costume contests, glow-in-the-dark dodge ball with clown referees, Karma Wash, face painting, and much more.

Sponsors include Relix Magazine, Surf Taco, ONE Coconut Water, Brooksound Productions, and several local businesses.
