Electronic-Punk-Electro-Rock. This is FIGO. New York City by day - breaking shit globally by night. A band influenced by groups like Primal Scream, The Misfits, Iggy & The Stooges, and The Chemical Brothers, and when not performing live, doubling as a DJ crew, devastating club dance-floors worldwide. Either way a show that is in your face, intense, and will make you want to punch everyone around you then take a shot of Jameson. FIGO has played with The Faint, She Wants Revenge, The Presets, MSTRKRFT, .Trail of Dead, Cut Copy, Does It Offend You, N.A.S.A., Ladytron, and others. FIGO has appeared at major music festivals including Winter Music Conference, Amsterjam Festival, Monolith Festival, LA Weekly Detour Festival, CMJ, and South By Southwest. And they're coming after you.
FIGO's first single, PLAZA, released in 2008 - caught the attention of New York/UK indie imprint Calcium Records who re-released the track along with remixes by Tommie Sunshine, Knowlton Walsh, Stephen Cole, and Dirt Pop. Later that year the follow up self-titled EP was released, along with remixes of Justice and TV On The Radio. 2009 was a busy year, the group toured consistently throughout the year, performing alongside Cut Copy, DIM, and The Toxic Avenger in Miami for Winter Music Conference, supporting Ladytron and The Faint on their 30-date North American co-headline Spring tour, and rocking high profile parties with GZA, Samantha Ronson, Joel Madden, and N.A.S.A around the country. 2009 also brought FIGO to some of the best club nights in the U.S., including POPSCENE in San Francisco, LIPGLOSS in Denver, GARUTACHI in Washington DC, and BANANA SPLIT in Los Angeles.
So far, 2010 has been no different - FIGO was selected by LP33.TV to officially showcase at South By Southwest, rocked Winter Music Conference, and landed a slot on the coveted annual Anthem Magazine Coachella Festival party. The boys also released a remix of 'Ego Death' for hometown friends A Place To Bury Strangers, a dark and sinister electro club anthem, released on Mute Records and heralded by press including RCRDLBL, Filter Magazine, and GBH. Coming this year is a remix for UK's newest breakout band, The Boxer Rebellion, FIGO's full length LP, "Put It All On Black," along with a slew of remixes and DJ mixes in the pipeline.

PRESS
"Odd yet appealing mix of hard rock and techno. Has the sound of something that could takeover." CMJ MAGAZINE
"FIGO is one of those bands that combine elements of several genres to flawlessly create their own sound. Sometimes industrial, other times four to the floor rock, they incorporate many influences seemingly into tight cohesive tracks. Sounding a bit like Gravity Kills with unwavering beats and distant vocals, there is an underlying pop aesthetic that gives them that alternative rock edge. Hints of Pink Floyd pop up in the guitar lines while electronics bring it into another dimension entirely. Sharing the stage with artists like The Foo Fighters and Wolfmother, FIGO is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with." THE DELI (NYC)
"How many bands can you think of off the top of your head that have played with MOTOR and the Foo Fighters? If you're having trouble there, it's okay: FIGO's the first to do it, and it's because they're the only band whose sound fits in well with both bands. Believe it." GBH
".FIGO plays ultra-amped, angry electro-rock. Good for a night out (on meth), we suppose." TIME OUT
"FIGO has been bangin' out unique combinations of electro and rock for some time now up in the Big Apple." URB MAGAZINE"A little alternative, a bit electronic and whole lot of rock - FIGO sends their self titled monster. A fusion of styles that comes into a sound of its own, these boys are out to take the world by storm. Experimental pop with big vocals and ripping guitars, catch 'em soon before they spontaneously combust." NEW YORK WASTE
