DESCRIPTION:
This was the encore performance following a stellar headlining performance by Cleveland P. Jones at the Apache Cafe in Atlanta, GA (Saturday, October 19, 2013). Initially intended to be an a cappella performance, the evening's host and show opener (Fhena), instigated by her background singer (Maleke) get Cleveland to drag his unsuspecting good friend and collaborator (Ahmed Sirour) to perform with him on a completely unscripted/improv duo performance. Mr. Sirour was reluctant only because he was not prepared nor had he had any sleep for an entire day after 16 long hours on the road to travel to see the performance as it had been almost a decade since the last time he had seen his friend perform on the very stage where they both really got their musical paths started.

Nonetheless, they launched into what turned into a very organic medley of "Sensitive" and "Afro Blue", an original and cover song, respectively, that have garnered them much attention amongst music lovers who've heard their collaborative work over the past 2 years. Mr. Sirour (who consequently is writing this description in the 3rd person) certainly was making it up as he went along and was praying not to play too many bad notes and follow along with the vocally dexterous and ridiculously amazing, Mr. Jones as best he could under the circumstances.

Overall, the spirit of creativity was the main factor and a great end to what was a beautiful experience created by all the artists who graced the stage, the audience who shared their energy, but especially Mr. Jones who definitely proved why he deserves to be amongst the greats and whose time in that light is fast approaching.
