Sycamore Slough String Band is an acoustic quartet founded on a mutual love of Grateful Dead music. The Dead's "concerted sense of quest" informs SSSB's musical interactions, and a powerful vocal ensemble rides high atop those grooves. Featuring David Gans (host of Dead to the World and American troubadour), David Thom (former emcee and lead vocalist for the David Grisman Quintet), Roger Sideman of Chinacats on bass and journeyman improvisational violinist Fiddle Dave.

Tamalpais Research Institute is the vision of Bob Weir, a founding member of the Grateful Dead. Weir and his team have built a $5 million state-of-the-art performance studio for broadcasting live HD video and audio streams directly to the Internet.
