The Book People of Fahrenheit 451 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 25, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
This is a combination of the two last scenes from François Trauffaut's 1966 film, "Fahrenheit 451" starring Oskar Werner and Julie Christie. Trauffaut is considered one of the main filmmakers of the so-called "French New Wave" of the 1960's. It's a must-see for any student, aficianado, or anyone interested in the history and development of film. It is based on the book by Ray Bradbury about a time in the future when the role of firemen is to find all contraband books, confiscate and burn them.

Montag (Werner), a former fireman, has come to see the value of books, killed his superiors and escaped to an isolated place by the river where he encounters a makeshift community.
