VERY, VERY thrashy death metal, especially for the Finnish scene, there's even a NWOBHM feel to some of the riffing. The guitars aren't very far from standard tuning, and the vocals are closer to a deep yell than a growl. Until 1993, Excrement was known as Apoplexy.
