BIO:

Out of the graveyards and onto the stages, Cold Blue Rebels mix the driving psycho-billy beats of Fifties rock to the classic gore n' schtick of spooky horror films.

The band is de-composed of four veteran Sunset Strip rockers who have returned to haunt and howl the nightclubs with a sound that grows on you like moss on a crypt.

Cold Blue Rebels trace their roots back to a twisted version of the birth pangs of rock n' roll, when Elvis Presley's curled-lipped sneer met the howling onstage antics of Jerry Lee Lewis. Back in the days of hula hoops, rocket-tailed cars and the Cold War, rock and roll came onto the scene like the kid with weird hair and clothes that showed up at the party uninvited.

Three decades later, on the heyday of the Sunset Strip, Mickey Finn's band Jetboy signed to MCA records and brought a hard-rocking sound that meshed his glam rock look with the defiance of the Mohawk that crowned his head. Down the street, guitarist Joe Normal and bassist Danny Dangerous were picking up their own record deal with their purple-haired glitter rock outfit, the Zeros. Later, echoing the glam rock footsteps of their predecessors, Spazz Draztik and the Glamour Punks were carving an indelible name for themselves in the Hollywood rock pages.

Out of those dyed-roots sprung friendships that lead to musical collaborations. Finn meshed his wide palate of tastes, which included groups like GBH, Fear and Black Flag to his cultural love of classic sci-fi horror and Japanese monster movies.

Joining forces with Danny Dangerous, Finn composed a list of probable band names that he showed to his bass player. Dangerous and Finn agreed on Cold Blue Rebels, and the band name was born. The two approached former Zeros guitarist Joe Normal, who was looking for an outlet to express his passion for "real Rockabilly guitar." Looking back, Normal reflects, "I saw CBR as a band who could push the boundaries of the Rockabilly and Psychobilly musical styles, it's fashion and image, and have a cartoony horror gimmick that would stand out above all the mediocre acts diluting the scene."

Cold Blue Rebels added on drummer Al Diablo in 2012 and touring guitarist Thunders.

Cold Blue Rebels have released 2 CDs on Horror High Records: "Love Of The Undead" (2013) and their debut "Blood, Guts, n' Rock & Roll" (2011) Their version of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" appears on several Cleopatra Records releases.
