The 'Microcosmos EP' is the fifth release on TFE Records and the label's first from Frenchman Re-Drum, following his recent remix of Nick Verwey. It's an EP of laid back, mellow deep-tech house with a filmic ambience. Edgy remixes from Das Kraftfuttermischwerk and Marvin Zeyss add a new dimension of the originals.

Re-Drum has previously released tunes on non-profit net label Torrentech, Jamendo and Turbulent Calm Records. Since his first release in 2008, he has been building a reputation for warm, mellow deep house sounds. An accomplished musician who started out creating on his Playstation at the age of 13, today Re-Drum plays drums, guitar and keyboards. His sound has been inspired by artists such as Boards of Canada, DJ Shadow and other IDM, downtempo, tech and deep house producers.

Das Kraftfuttermischwerk (aka Ronny Kraak and Nico Wawersig) hail from TFE Records' hometown of Postdam in Germany and have, since 2006, released tracks on Thinner, Tendenzen Freier Entfaltung, Aquietbump and Kahvi Collective. Their remix focuses on a downbeat sound, spacious and dreamy elements amidst dubstep beats.

Nuremberg resident Marvin Zeyss is a budding house and techno producer, with two previous releases on TFE Records. Although not a musician in the traditional sense, he always had a strong passion for music and began to produce his own blend of deep and techy electronic music in 2007. His debut release on NightChild has since been followed up with others on InDeep, Beachtown, LogoTunisia, TFE, Soul Shift and more.

TFE Records (Tendenzen Freier Entfaltung to give it the full title) is based in Potsdam, Germany. Their 17 release discography stretches back to 2006 and includes such artists as Jesse Rose, Alex Santos, Chris Fortier, Oliver $, Saint iBot, Perc and Bigger Than Jesus. Recent digital releases have featured Nick Verwey, Marvin Zeyss and Fabiannoa.
