System Recordings kicks off 2014 with the debut of Canadian producer Beat Syndrome to the label. Hamed Safi aka Beat Syndrome closed 2013 with one of his all time best productions on Baroque Records. Hamed's hypnotic take on C-Jay & Yoram 'The Holstee Manifesto' reached #1 in our overall Hype Chart and put a perfect cap on the year that was full of changes for the Toronto based producer. Beat Syndrome's debut EP for System is entitled 'Two O Two' and it comes with two brand new original productions.

The title track sees Beat Syndrome with one of his most thunderous grooves to date. The low end is really something to marvel at here. A wicked combination of meaty bass stabs and rolling swells create the ultimate foundation full of massive undulation. The choppy drums are deliberate and enhance the groove with even more bounce. The dramatic club energy continues to build with gorgeous melodic rhythms and swirling atmospheric sweeps which create a wicked vortex around the framework at the tracks peak. We already stated that this was one of Beat Syndrome's most thunderous grooves to date but it's also one of his biggest club records yet, should be a real treat on the dance floor. The companion piece 'Cages & Souls' is the perfect shimmering, hypnotic complement to be paired with 'Two O Two'. The bubbly textures provide the ultimate rolling rhythms while the skippy drum sequences complement the infectious hooks perfectly. The smooth rhythms build wonderfully during the drop and ultimately set up the final two thirds of the record which is sonic perfection. It's one of those times where everything just works in perfect unison for a tastefully epic and completely exhilarating conclusion. The building rhythms, warm emotional pads, trailing effects and superb chord changes are simply to die for here; it's got a sense of timelessness about it and it's sure fire goosebump material for the dance floor as well. Two massive tracks from Beat Syndrome and a great start to 2014 for System Recordings. Highly Recommended.
