Escape the Justice - "Addicted" A BlankTV Premiere!

Artist city, country: Manchester, United Kingdom

Artist Biography: Escape the Justice are a 5 piece post-hardcore/metalcore band from Manchester, UK. Formed in January 2013 by James Holman on Vocals, Tom Crane on Guitar and John 'Jay Kay' Kendrick on Drums with the addition of long time friend of Jay Kay, bass player Abe Shimmin bringing his solid bass lines and impressive, high energy unique vocals which really added a new sound to our tracks. To complete our line up, we invited a very talented guitarist Michaela Byron-Hehir (ex From Embers guitarist). he also adds vocals to the mix. Since January we have been writing our Debut EP 'Abscond' and recently recorded it at Patron Sound produced by Elliot Middleton-Guitarist of I'll Stay in Memphis and Mastered by Joey Sturgis of Foundation Recording Studio, Connersville, Indiana. Our Debut EP 'Abscond' was release for free download until the 23rd July along with a Debut Video of our track 'Addicted'.

"For fans of the likes of Memphis May Fire, Heart of a Coward, and Of Mice and Men, Escape The Justice has all the potential and skills to become a major presence in UK rock, and with the Abscond EP being offered for free Download for just thirty days from 12 Noon on Saturday June 22nd it would be stupid not to join their rise from its very first steps"

About The Video: Although the word 'Addicted' would normally be associated with an addiction to drugs or alcahol, the video to 'Addicted' is more to do with the addition to music. The Video is set 10 years in the future and music is now illigal. We think although an addiction is not primarily associated with music, if it were to be taken away from us we would realize how much of an addiction it actually to most of us. The video shows a life of a band and a few outsiders trying to rebel against the recent ban on music and continue to get their fix while trying to avoid the enforcements.

Song Lyrics: Can you feel this?
there's a storm brewing up inside me
and you better be there when it happens
been waiting half my life for this moment
i never knew what it felt to release what's inside, but now i've found my calling

I refuse to live like i'm supposed to
it's not what i was ment for
this is the real me, the one you could never see, without this i couldn't breathe

Pay attention this is my addiction (i am alone)
i open up to you but you dont fucking see
when you look at me
why can't you see me

I'm suffocating, smothered by the plans of those who will never see through my eyes
when i step up to the lights
and im free from the chains of normality, i feel so alive

I hope you catch a glimpse of what i can be and realise 'that without this'
that without this i couldn't breathe

Pay attention this is my addiction (i am alone)
i open up to you but you dont fucking see
when you look at me
why can't you see me

My frustration is choking me
never rising never given ground

Pay attention this is my addiction (i am alone)
i open up to you but you dont fucking see
when you look at me
why can't you see me

Drowning in the unforgotten, dreaming of what could never be.
