DESCRIPTION:
Here's a quick tutorial of a great tune that was requested by my long-time subscriber Daniel Levy who lives in London, England. The song is 'Preparen Candela' as played by Los Compadres with Rey Caney on Armonico. I've transcribed lots of Los Compadres songs with Compay Segundo but this is my first one with Caney.

Of course Rey Caney's real name is Reinaldo Hierrezuelo and he is the younger brother of Lorenzo Hierrezuelo, the founder and other member of Los Compadres. Caney replaced Compay Segundo in the group sometime in the mid fifties. Rey Caney is a fantastic Tres player as well, but plays the Armonico in Los Compadres.

I've adapted his Armonico parts to suit the Tres, it's not identical but it's damn close.

The string gauges I'm using are:
G10/24 C16/16 E11/11

I transcribe all of the songs for my tutorials myself so I don't have the tablature for any of them.
