Lyrics:
Seeing no inscriptions
This eternal city bore
Not the fruit of civilisation
Not seen by eyes but mine

Deep within the dunes
This atrocity laid to rot
Unwholesome antiquity
deliberately lost
The unvocal place dripping
In the ghastly stillness of unending sleep

Swallowed by the sand
That is not dead which can eternal lie
And with strange aeons even death may die
Shunned so this city should be

Hours of waiting for the coming sunrise
Daring not to tread forth in the mirk
As Memnon hailed the mighty disk
I steeled myself to venture forth

In and out of shapeless housing
Mine vision drawn to a would-be temple

Wading further into shapeless darkness
My flame - my only eyes
Light cast on still-red stones

Swallowed by the sand
That is not dead which can eternal lie
And with strange aeons even death may die
Shunned so this city should be

Shifting through
Construct's darkness
Guided by
My fear

Flames lick the walls around me
Horror becomes tangible
Rushing wind felt from behind
Draws me down down inside

Endlessly descending
Times seemed to all but stop
Suddenly my feet hit earth
In a long dark chamber

Displayed on the walls were
The scales of long-lost man
Diminutive in stature
With shrapnel fangs
Wicked claws

The face invoked a hideous reality
History lost, sealed away, forgotten
Hundreds of these deceased demons
Encased by stone and lost in sand

Their strange reptilian features
Lit by an unknown light
As I examined through the glass
The glimmering scales ignite
Their ungodly tendrils now twitching
My sanity depletes
Being pulled toward the phosphor
I am eternal as I lie
