El grupo se forma en 2001 cuando Birkite y Gonzalo (ex Self-Pollution) se conocen en Bilbao. Tras una primera formación que no llegó a dar conciertos en 2002, en 2003 eorann se convierte en trío y graba su primera demo junto con Adrián Bilbao, primer batería del grupo.

En 2004 Sergio se une a ellos como guitarrista y un año más tarde graban su segunda demo. En 2006 se consolidan como quinteto con la llegada de Roberto e Irune, año en el que eorann empieza a ser relacionado con el circuito independiente de Bilbao.



Con una primera demo en 2004 el grupo se presentó al Concurso de Maquetas de Euskadi Gaztea, clasificándose entre los 20 finalistas. En el 2005, tras otra decena de conciertos tomaron parte como banda invitada en el Concurso Pop-rock Villa de Bilbao, consiguieron el segundo puesto en el Concurso de Grupos de Sestao 2005, y volvieron a ser finalistas del Concurso de Maquetas de Euskadi Gaztea con su segundo trabajo autoeditado. 9 temas en euskera, castellano e inglés grabados con Iñaki Alonso entre septiembre y noviembre del 2005 en los estudios Sonora de Vitoria.

Este trabajo fue considerado 3ª Mejor Demo de 2006 por la edición para Euskal Herria Zarata de la revista musical Mondosonoro y su demo "Autosatisfait" ha sido 7ª mejor Demo de 2007. El grupo se separó en febrero de 2008, pero próximamente esperan colgar en myspace su último trabajo grabado en los estudios Sonora de Vitoria y Pan-pot de Romo. Este proyecto cambia de idioma al inglés y se aleja del post para experimentar con influencias rock, noise y psicodelia.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 2001 Birkite (voice, guitar) and Gontzal (bass) met in Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain) and started rehearsing. After some time searching and trying different people, in 2003 they met Adrian (drums) and shortly after the three decided to record their first demo at Pan-pot studios in Romo (Bizkaia).

The band started playing live and the guitarrist Sergio Hoyuelos joined them in November of 2004. The following year they recorded a second demo.

In June 2006 Roberto Somavilla replaced Adrian at drums and Irune Unzueta started playing keyboards.



eorann has played live regularly until now, introducing atmospheric live shows based on the sound-wall of guitars influenced by noise, rock and pop music, strong rhythms and a feminine emotive voice.

The band has been amongst finalists in some of the Basque Country's most popular contests, like Euskadi Gaztea Demo Contest (2004 and 2005) and guest band at City of Bilbao Pop-rock Contest (2005). They also scored the first place at the Auzo Contest of local bands in Bilbao in May of 2006.



In January of 2006 they autoedited their second demo "eorann", 9 songs written in Basque, English and Spanish and recorded by Iñaki Alonso (Exhale) at Sonora Studios in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country). They did with the help of Paulino Rios (synthesizers), Idoia Noriega (violin) and Asier Perez (voice).



This demo has been awarded 3rd Best Demo of the Basque Country in 2006 by the spanish music magazine MONDOSONORO in its basque edition. The band split in February 2008, while working on its third recording, written in english. Post sound is been put aside and they're experimenting with rock, noise and psychedelic melodies. This work will be soon available on their official myspace.
