End Is Near

The band End is Near starts in 2001. At the beginning, Sim and Jee-Dee writes songs only composed of guitars. Looking for a drummer and a bassist from the start of the project, it's only in 2005 that Boutch, the bassist, and Mick, the drummer, join the band. In 2006, End is Near adds 2 members to its formation, Pier-Luc Paquin on lead vocals and Alex, the keyboard player. With this formation, the demo, Faithless Failure is recorded in early 2007. The cutting edge, aggressive and melodic sound is highlighted in this demo.
In 2009, Pier-Luc Paquin decides to leave the band for personals reasons. So, Jee-Dee takes the task of lead vocals/guitarist. In early 2010, the band release his first E.P. called The Path of the Wicked.
In 2011, End is Near entered in studio to record a full album entitled Beyond the Theater. This album is a concept album telling the story of four entities that leads humanity to chaos. The death metal, power metal, heavy metal and even classical influences are seen throughout this album. Beyond the Theater opens on a typical melodic death metal piece, Worshippers of Chaos, with fast riffs and a present keyboard as well. The album evolves over the song and goes through different emotions. In The Inside Drama and Beyond the Theater, the piano leads the melody and brings the guitars to jerky and stunning riffs. In The Path of the Wicked, the horrific symphony is very present. In Juggler of Life and Death, the ballad, the death metal and the power metal meets all together. End is Near brings originality in the compositions of the album Beyond the Theater.
Following the release of this album, End is Near adds a new member to its formation. Unable to deny its talent as a singer and convinced in his motivation, it's Sebass that takes the place of the lead singer. End is Near adds a string to his bow in having a singer independent of all instruments.
