Azariah Jones Aka Z is a Christian hip hop artist, songwriter, producer, engineer and musician based out of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He is the founder and owner of ForHisGloryMovement Apparel Company and Co-Founder of the non-profit organization D.I.A.M.O.N.D.S. which stands for “Determining Innovative Actions Measured On New Designs” and whose mission is to help youth and young adults grow to be better stewards through improved performance of sports, academics, arts, and professional development.



Z began to explore his passion of music at the age of 9 when he was introduced to the cello at school and the youth choir at church. At the age of 10 he received the Lord into his heart and was baptized. The full potential of what this step in his life meant began to be revealed when he encountered the love of Christ during an attempt to commit suicide at the age of 14. God intervened to transform his heart and mind to compel him towards his Kingdom purpose and assignment. Z has since purposed in his heart to grow closer to God daily.



At the age of 17 Z launched into his ministry in Christian hip hop by recording with others in his mother’s basement and eventually mixing and recording his own music. Since then he has completed several projects including: his first mixtape “Just Jamin’” in 2013, singles entitled “Glory”, “I know Pt.1”, and “Called To Be feat. Franchyze Freddy” in 2014 and “Thankful feat. Prosper” which is his first nationwide song release on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and Spotify. Z is currently working toward the completion of his most recent EP entitled “Trapped” an LP entitled “Overdue” both scheduled to be released in 2016 and his album entitled “Reveal” expected to be released in 2017. Z has had the opportunity to be nominated for several awards which include: Pittsburgh Underground Music Award Christian Hip Hop in 2013, 2014, and 2015, Crunk 4 Christ Radio Awards New Artist of the Year in 2014, Pittsburgh Underground Music Award Single of the year for his single entitled “Thankful” in 2015, and Kingdom Image Awards Hip Hop artist of the year, Best Gospel Performance, Best New Artist, Best song of the year and Artist of the year in 2015.



Z has a passion to share the Gospel and the love of God with all of humanity; he is committed to follow the will of God, to Glorify God and to be used of God to add souls to the Kingdom. The desire of Z’s heart is anchored in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20 which compels him to “Go and make disciples of all the nations”. His mission and mandate is to be a unique expression of God’s love on display for the world to see.
