PUBLISHED:  Apr 05, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
w/ Special Guest Jon Jones on Trombone ~ Huckle is a rootsy blend of acoustic groove rock. Live shows are an exciting mix of 10 string guitar, weissenborn, banjo and African tongue drums. With a sound that ranges from heartfelt acoustic ballads to sonic explosions of arena rock proportions, Huckle is an engaging and high energy musical experience. Touring with his trio that features Murph on upright and electric bass and Ezra Lipp on drums, percussion, tongue drum, and vocals, Huckle performs socially conscious music with great passion. Born in Hope, BC, Huckle has spent much of his life living in California and touring through out the US, Canada, and Australia. It was in Huckle's college years at UCSB in the fertile musical community that produced nationally touring acts such as ALO and Jack Johnson where his love for playing music bloomed. Huckle finds balance in music and life by spending most of his off time following his passions of surfing, tele skiing, skating, hang gliding, climbing, or following the muse of a spontaneous adventure.

Over the last 8 years, Huckle toured as 'Eli Jebidiah' in Poor Man's Whiskey, and been the musical director of the festival favorite Guitarmageddon, playing such festivals as the Byron Bay Blues and Roots music festival (Australia), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Wakarusa Music Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Kate Wolf Music Festival, and venues the Fillmore, the Civic in San Francisco, Great American Music Hall, the Wonder Ball room, the Aladdin Theatre, Wow Hall and Mystic Theatre.
