Der Begriff "Elektro“ hat sich vermutlich bei den meisten Stilrichtungen unabhängig voneinander durchgesetzt, um sich von traditionell instrumentierten Richtungen abzugrenzen und das Element der elektronischen Klangerzeugung zu betonen.



"Musikanten" zogen als freies fahrendes Volk von Stadt zu Stadt und spielten zum Tanze auf. Sich zu Gruppen verbündende "Musikanten" sind die Vorläufer späterer Theathergruppen, welche wiederum Vorläufer von modernen Bands sind. Der Begriff Musikant ist seit etwa 1600 belegt und deutlich älter als der um 1800 entstandene Begriff des Musikers, der ausgebildet und beruflich Musik ausübt. Er beschreibt den Übergang von fahrenden zum ehrbahren Musiker.

The word "Elektro" probably put itself through most style directions independently from

one another, in order to delimit itself from traditional instrumental directions and to

emphasize the element of the electronical sound production.



"Musikanten" hiked as free going people from town to town to play their music for the joy

of dancing. Musicians, who built up little alliances are the precursors of the later

theater groups, which again are the precursors of (modern) todays Bands. The traditional

word "Musikanten" is approx. since 1600 belaid. The new definition "musician", which

was developed around 1800, defines a person who exercises music in an instructed and
