The Electric Boogie Dawgs are bringing the boogie back along with a whole lot of attitude and old fashioned rock n' roll fun.
That means the music contains a little southern rock, a little old school rock n' roll, a touch of country, a little blues, lots of guitars and lots of songs about dancing, drinking, rocking and reeling all night long. Not to mention recovering the morning after.
They wear their influences squarely on their scruffy collars which is apparent on the title track, Sloppy, Fast and Loud, which is punctuated by riffs of the guitar gods mentioned in the lyrics —ZZ Top, Angus Young, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Slash, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen to name a few.
This album is a great album from EBD'z & is just as much fun as their live shows! If you've seen them live, buy this album. If you haven't seen them live, check out the samples, as this album is strong through & through. I can leave it on repeat as I work or drive & it keeps me entertained without a feel of the album ending & starting again! A great soundtrack to a party full of beer & jack!
