The Odyssey One opened it's doors in 1976. In its 10 year history more then a million kids would pass through its doors to enjoy the magic that only The Odyssey One unlike any other Disco or Dance Club had to offer! The Club featured 3 of LA's top DJ's Chuck e. Starr, Steven Smith, and David Rubinstine. The Odyssey One never got the media attention it deserved because it had opened as a gay bar. It was not until DJ Chuck e Starr went against all odds and changed the music from the Disco format to Punk and New Wave while promoting the The Odyssey One to include EVERYONE did it become the LARGEST Mixed Dance Club in Southern California changing the way people would dance forever. Unlike Studio 54 on the East Coast, The Odyssey One on a Monday Night would have well over A thousand people in line to get in. This is some of the only known footage of the The Odyssey One filmed at the 1981 Holloween Party. Special Thanks to EJ EMMONS and Image House.
