DESCRIPTION:
Chekov combines modern electronic music with jazz improvisation: spheric sound collages of samples, loops, and beats form the basis for the improvisation of the live band. The electronic ingredients are triggered live via midi floorboard from a laptop, so that everything happening on stage in fact is live!

In contrast to solely electronic music, the iterative loops and samples - there's joy in repetition - merge with the live quintet into a dynamic and vital ensemble. The combination of these stylistic means - repetitive electronic loops and jazz improvisation - makes the sound of the band.

Chekov takes you on a sonic space trip with sol 8, to ambient & groovin' sound-galaxies you have never imagined to be able to experience.
