Eileen Rose released her fifth studio album, "LUNA TURISTA", through Floating World Records in October 2009. Recorded in her adopted home town of Nashville, TN, and in Berlin, it features her band The Holy Wreck - guitar & pedal steel virtuoso THE LEGENDARY RICH GILBERT (Frank Black & The Catholics, Tanya Donelly, Human Sexual Response) and on drums, NATE "86" STALFA (Knock Down Society, Caitlin Cary and Thad Cockrell) - plus guest appearances from singer and fiddle player Joshua Hedley (Justin Townes Earle). The album has been mixed by Rob Clark, who works with Neil Young.
"Luna Turista" is the follow up to Eileen's 2008 album "AT OUR TABLES". For that record she took her music to Detroit, tracking down the city's deep-rooted musical Soul and making it all her own. Aided by seasoned producers Al Sutton (Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Detroit Cobras, Electric Six), and Eric Hoegemeyer (Charm Farm, Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker), plus members of Sponge, Detroit Cobras, and her own band the Holy Wreck, Eileen created a record that is a joyous celebration of the accidents of Life, Love, and Human Nature.
Eileen's previous albums (available in stores and on-line) include: "COME THE STORM" (WILDFLOWER RECORDS), "SHINE LIKE IT DOES" (ROUGH TRADE RECORDS) recorded with country-techno mavericks, THE ALABAMA THREE and co-produced with Jerry Boise (BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB) and "LONG SHOT NOVENA" (ROUGH TRADE RECORDS) which features A3, members of the classic Scottish band, DEL AMITRI, SEX PISTOL, Glen Matlock and members of the legendary British punk band, THE RUTS. Eileen's song "Shining" is a featured song in the Disney movie "THE ROOKIE" and is also on the soundtrack album, along with STEVE EARLE and RYAN ADAMS. Her song "Lie To Me" was featured in an episode of the hit TV series "Felicity".
