DESCRIPTION:
On 3/16/16, Gustavo Agatiello and I went to meet Neil Larrivee at the Vic Firth headquarters in Norwell, MA. We were there to check out my new mallet that Gustavo and I worked on together. It's a pretty radical departure from the existing M38 mallet. We were looking to create a mallet that sounded full and had very good clarity playing with a low level mallet height.

Thanks to Neil for his warm hospitality. Beautiful facilities. Vic Firth and cymbal maker Zildjian share the same building. While we were there, Neil arranged for us to perform a mini concert for the VF and Zildjian staff. I started with a solo performance of "When You Wish Upon A Star". I have to say the mallets sounded great on vibes and marimba. The mallets should be out sometime in 2016.

Great meeting Craigie Zildjian and all of the wonderful people at VF and Zildjian. Hope to do it again in the future.
