EARL CARTER
BIOGRAPHY

Earl Carter is a Washington, DC based Guitarist, Bassist, and Saxophonist, whose multi-faceted talent, professionalism, and star-quality has officially sent him into the stratosphere of being "world-renowned".
Earl got his start at eleven years old. At this incredibly young age, he already had the drive and determination to know he wanted to play guitar and subsequently, taught himself the craft to proficiency. In the coming years, he picked up the saxophone and bass guitar with the same passion. He graduated high school with honors and worked hard in the management profession; at one point managing 200+ employees. Making a great living and excellent income, Earl stepped out on pure will and left corporate America behind to pursue his love of music full-time.
In the late 80's and early 90's, Earl secured his spot as a member of the platinum selling Go-Go band, EU; where he recorded music on the soundtrack to Spike Lee's movie, Do The Right Thing, and so much more. As a result of those experiences, he began getting more into studio production work; producing music for artists to record, as well as co-producing dialogue recordings for such names as Les Brown, Willie Jolley, George Fraser (Author), and famous athletes Jawan Howard, and Nikki McCray.
Over the years, Earl has performed with many artists, local, national, and international. As a freelance musician, he has worked with Marcus Johnson, Alyson Williams, Bobby Lyle, Freddie Jackson, Angela Bofill, Regina Belle, Sy Smith, Bob Baldwin, Tony Terry, and a long list of others. He performs regularly at the legendary jazz club, Blues Alley and has performed for The National Smooth Jazz Awards ('02), The Bermuda Jazz Festival ('02 & '03), The Ghana Jazz Festival ('03), and several other televised concerts and programs. As a front man, Earl's band displays world-class players and always gives the audience a spectacular show. He has spearheaded his personal CD projects; the fourth and latest titled, "Project X". He has performed many venues for DC and Baltimore radio stations WJZW 105.9, WSMJ 104.3, 95.9 FM, and 102.3 FM; and also opened for Pieces of a Dream, Spyro Gyra, Bona Fide, and others.
Currently Earl is lead guitar player for The X-Posure Band, who was hand picked by one of the wealthiest men in the world, Sheik Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi, to be the featured band at the five-star hotel, The Sheraton Addis in Ethiopia. Earl performs and travels often and is always looking for his next musical challenge. Allow yourself to be entertained by one of the greatest to ever do it… book Earl Carter today!
