This is one of the few covers I've done in my own voice. I always loved Dusty Springfield's version of this song. Heck, I loved everything I ever heard her sing. As a vocal impressionist, it isn't often that I'll cover a song made popular by a female vocalist, but I have made a few exceptions, and this is one of them. Plus, I'm a sucker for a great song, no matter who had the hit with it. I consider the music of Burt Bacharach and Hal David among the most sublime of the entire decade that was the 1960's.
