Lucky 7 is the world’s favourite number. There are seven days of the week, seven colours of the rainbow, seven notes on a musical scale, seven seas and seven continents. It is therefore no coincidence that the making of our seventh EP has been such a special one. When El Choop (Harvey Jones) sent us his demo we couldn't help but fall in love with his pure, authentic dub techno sound which he captured beautifully using analogue hardware recorded onto tape. There is an unmistakable quality and integrity in his work that we felt worthy of our time and investment. At just 22 years of age, El Choop is an artist with undeniable talent and potential.

Default Position presents El Choop's 'A Jaded City' for release in March 2016. The EP includes three original pieces from Harvey including 'Krank Shaft Dub' and 'A Jaded City' parts 1 & 2, plus one absolutely stunning remix from Armenian Dub Techno master, Heavenchord.

'A Jaded City' is available in digital formats including wav, mp3 and STEMS (giving you powerful control over four separate channels of audio, including beats, bass, dub chords and atmospheres)*.
