DESCRIPTION:
This is the version that uses only Asavari that notes (no Komal Rishab unlike Sindh Bhairavi as in Ustad Vilayat Khan's rendition). It is interesting to contrast the mood created by this to Asaveri, Sampoorna Malkauns, Kaunsi Kanada, Darbari, Adana, etc.

This piece is dedicated to Ustad Rais Khan who is by far easily the sweetest sitar player I have heard, especially in the Movies/Ghazals.

Inspiration for this comes from: Ustad Rais Khan (had a LP with a Sindh Bhairavi dhun, not the same as the one here); Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan (who also had an LP of SindhBhairavi but a classical piece). I heard both of these maestros growing up.
