1. Riddle of the Pentagram.

This tape was released privately to those who solved "The riddle of 6" that came with the special edition CD of Drowning the Light "From the Abyss".
Limited to 20 copies.
I decided to upload this demo in full, as yes the people who solved the riddle will be the only ones to own a physical copy, but an overwhelming amount of people sent in some really great ideas and answers, which although not right, the intention of the riddle was to get people thinking, and to give the fans something for free for using their minds rather then their wallets. So I felt it fair to share this, so all those that did take the time out to try to solve the riddle can at least listen to it.
The back story is; for some years i have seen many people using symbols/sigils etc. in their Black Metal bands and labels and even though many use said symbols they have no idea what they mean (and openly admit so), not that i expect anyone to be grand necromancers of the left hand path or crooked path but if you're going to use a sigil at least know what it means right? and it got me thinking that so many special editions reward people who can "afford it", and burn a hole in the wallet - so i wanted to do something different, something to make people use their brain/knowledge and reward them for it, something significant.
So the special edition of "From the Abyss" came with 6 woodcut style images, each with a small verse below it, you need to work out the answer to each individual woodcut, then put them all together to work out the final answer, the first 6 people to email me the answer won the tape.
It's something which i hoped would make people look a bit deeper into symbology, meanings, hidden meanings etc. and actually stimulate the brain.

The 6 pieces of art that came with the special edition are in the video clip, and here is the answer to the riddle of 6 as well as the answer to each individual piece and the hints as to why.
The final answer is: "Pentagram".
The first 5 answers were the 5 elements of a pentagram; "Earth", "Fire", "Wind", "Water", "Spirit" and the 6th was the "ouroboros" or circle around the pentagram.
I. Answer "Earth" - An image of a man digging a grave (in the earth), "where the roots grow deep" (in the earth), "digging up the soil" (digging up the earth), and on the grave it says "RIP to this world" (the world also being referred to as "earth").
II. Answer "Fire" - An image of a man with a flaming torch (of fire), "that which illuminates the darkest of secrets and ignites the spirit and mind" (the fire in someones heart), "creating light" (fire).
III. Answer "Wind" - Firstly the old woodcuts blowing (wind), then the image of the flame extinguished with the smoke blowing away (the wind blowing it out), "to feel the cold chill in the air" (often associated with a cold breeze or wind), "the breath of god" (another reference to wind blowing).
IV. Answer "Water" - Water is of course depicted here with the ships in the ocean as well as the man drinking from a cup, "crossing an ocean of death" (As one cannot drink salt water as it will eventually lead to death, so that represents the "ocean of death" or salt water), "To find the elixir of life" (which refers to fresh water, which you need to live).
V. Answer "Spirit" - The image of a man ascending with the third eye awakened (to represent the spirit within), "transcending mortal coils and embracing immortality, beyond ones human shell" (the spirit living on beyond ones human existence).
VI. Answer "Ouroboros" - A dragon/serpent like creature biting it's own tail (represents the ouroboros), "now complete only to start again, the neverending cycle" (referring to a cirlce/ouroboros and the infinite nature of the shape/symbol).

All artwork was done by Maxime Taccardi who truly did some awesome work depicting these as i wanted them depicted.
