DESCRIPTION:
The effect of CTE, short for chronic traumatic encephalopathy, on football players was exposed years ago by Dr. Bennett Omalu and later portrayed in feature film, Concussion. According to a recent study, researchers found that 99 percent of the brains donated by families of former NFL players showed signs of the brain condition. This study is the largest of its kind.

Those who are affected by CTE can suffer from impulsivity, signs of depression, anxiety, hopelessness and violent tendencies. Last week, former NFL player, Brian Price, ran through a glass door at an auto parts store, his wife believe he too may be suffering from CTE.

Currently, CTE can only be diagnosed after a person has passed away.

Do you have children who play football? What do you think about the risk of CTE?
