Douglas Lucas

Douglas Lucas has been writing, recording, and performing music for over half of his life. He formed his first band in 1998 when he was fourteen years old. Since then, his songs have been heard on ESPN, in independent films, and on radio stations internationally. A Kentucky native, he has toured in three countries and played over 450 shows in the U.S. from coast to coast (including SXSW, The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England, and The Viper Room in Hollywood, California).
After being signed for two years to Sony Music Publishing with his band The North, Douglas released his first solo EP, The Advesa (a concept album on the subject of love). His new album, Handsome Death, confronts the topic of death in its many forms. The album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with drummer Fred Eltringham (of The Wallflowers).
Douglas currently resides in The Highlands of Louisville, Kentucky and continues to write, record, and tour the honky-tonks and bars.
