Espai Music are delighted to present France's Xavier Januario, aka 'Oniris', with his stunning summer E.P. It would be fair to say that following releases on Bedrock Records and strong support from the likes of Digweed and Garnier, Xavier needs little introduction to those in the know. Bitten by the electronic music bug in the mid-90's, his involvement in the scene has risen exponentially since, and the world of electronic music is all the better for it. Headline track, 'Kanumera' is drenched with sun-kissed vibes. Rolling, infectious grooves are joined by incredible melody-laden Steel Drums to create a truly incredible soundscape. If that wasn't enough, savage low-frequencies and epic strings join the party, creating a full-bodied anthem of truly epic proportions and one of Espai's proudest releases to date. Whilst the remixing of such a powerful original is dangerous territory, rest easy in the knowledge that the re-interpretations of Kanumera come from two of the scene's brightest talents in Ian O'Donovan and Nuno Dos Santos. O'Donovan is another who needs no introduction, weaving his way to the top table of the scene in recent years as accolades from the world's most forward-thinking tastemakers came thick and fast. His remix tips it's hat to the unforgettable beauty of the original, with magical steel drums to the fore. Ian makes his mark, though, with a simply stunning bassline and driving yet soulful techno under-belly in a way only he can. A peak-time triumph indeed. Holland's Nuno Dos Santos takes us into deeper waters, stripping things back and infusing sexy, dubby grooves. A swarm of seductive synths and heavyweight lead rhythms join the string section to conclude a breathtaking interpretation. Oniris adds to and completes the package, as if more were needed, with the unmistakable 'Circus'. More rolling grooves oozing class and vigour are met with a freestyle sequence of stupendous rhodes hooks, before our attention is shifted to the rise of jaw-dropping tribal percussion and a crescendo destined to send the most difficult of dancefloors into spasms.
