This track is a practice jam which goes through the E Dorian scale. Whichever method you choose to understand Dorian is up to you. The better you know it as it's own individual scale, and not rely on relating it to it's major derivative (in this case, D major scale), the better your phrasing will work when you improvise on this scale.

Bear in mind, you may also use this track to get all of your minor pentatonic scales dialed in, as well as minor 7th arpeggios, or other substituted arpeggios from the dorian mode (If you are interested in that topic, i can fill you in on the answers ;-)
