"Achy Breaky Heart" is a hit country music song written by Don Von Tress. Originally titled "Don't Tell My Heart", its name was later changed to "Achy Breaky Heart" and was recorded by Billy Ray Cyrus on his 1992 album "Some Gave All," as Cyrus' debut single and signature song, it made him famous and has been his most successful song. This was the first time we tried this "gem," and we learned this song as a "Special Request" for a wedding. The wedding 6 days later was the 2nd and last time we played it... Yeeeee Haw... Members of the "After Midnite Band" heard on this recording include: Deane Michaels, vocals/bass; Steve Hall, piano/multi keyboards/vocals; Jimmy Mack guitar/vocals; Al Beckford drums/vocals, and "Special Guest" John Pearson, lead vocals/guitar. - Recorded Live at Cracker's Pub, Beverly, MA - 20 June 1993.
