1965 Fender Jazz Bass Lake Placid Blue | CME Vintage Demo | Marc Najjar - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 09, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
This is vintage Jazz Bass you've been looking for. This one is for those folks that really appreciate the beautiful way that Lake Placid Blue ages over time. There is some heavy play wear all around and checking throughout the finish. The top has a ton of character with some deep checking that reveals the white undercoat in spots. Aside from the checking the bass has mostly moderate dings and dents around the edges but no serious damage. There is considerable buckle rash on the back of the body that has worn right through the finish. The backside of the body also has a "shadow" from a "69" sticker that has been removed sometime ago. Just like the rest of the bass, the back is riddled with checking and small dents that just adds to the mojo. The neck has worn in just right with some usual dents but no signs of splits or heavy gouges. It plays great with just the right amount of gloss left in the lacquer. The matching headstock is also nicely checked but in nice shape with mostly minor wear around the edges and no signs of any repairs or cracks. This my friends, is the stuff dreams are made of.
