DESCRIPTION:
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Retired Marine Lt. Col Jerard Brewer's wrote this song, "Bandana Beauty".
Here is the inspiration behind the song:

"Strength and resolve is what caught my attention. As I was scrolling through my news feed on FB, a friend of mine from high school had posted this picture and it took me a minute to register the meaning of what I was seeing. Head wrap, Mona-Lisa smile....could have just finished a motor-cycle ride....but after closer inspection she had this particular look of determination like none I had seen before. It can't be....Cancer??? Although we were high school friends we had not been in touch; nor had I seen her in years, but it was one of those surreal moments in time that was so poignant and important that my writer instincts just took over. An hour later I had this song called "Bandana Beauty." This is not a song about a disease, it's a song about the fighters....and their support mechanisms.....family, friends, spouses, siblings, FB, encouraging strangers etc. that take this challenge on with vigor, with no holds barred, with "I got this" attitude...those are who this song is for....there are so many "beauties" out there fighting everyday......Keep up the fight!"
